Third Lucid (well...Semi-Lucid but who cares about that...) Dream and I wasn't even trying. =]

As with my other Lucid Dreams I become spontaneously aware I was dreaming after "waking up" from my dream bed. It's really weird. Perhaps waking up in my room is a dream sign unto itself? o-o

Anyway, after I got out of bed (I used to have this problem on insane lethargy in my other two lucid dreams but it seems that it doesn't affect me anymore, so I'm pretty happy about that.) I did some reality checks to confirm me dreaming. I did the finger through hand, and basically just looking at my hands, which turned invisible? (God knows how I remembered to RC...)

So, my problem is. Just like in my last LD which started in my room, I have this problem of "leaving" or going into another setting. See. This time around, my parents were down stairs. I was thinking about just going downstairs and walking out the front door. My parents aren't the kind that would let me do that, so in my dream I decided against it.

Actually though, I think I did change my setting though. I kind of sat down next to my bed and closed my eyes, willing myself to be someplace else. After a few second I felt this surge of energy and I opened my eyes cause it just felt like I changed the setting.
I was right. But I don't really remember anything after that...(Curse stupid finals making me lazy and not writing in my DJ!)

Questions:
1. How can I overcome confronting my parents in a dream?
2. Is the whole sitting down and willing a change a viable method of dream control? Has it been heard of before?

Thanks for your time and answers!
