I figured I should provide more detail so that any advice would better help me. |

Though I've had lucid dreams through out my life I consider myself in no way an expert. I find a lot of my lucid dreams start out as a normal dream with me eventually figuring out that I am dreaming. And from what other people say about getting started lucid dreaming and comparing how I have done it I wonder if my methods are a bit unconventional. I am wondering if there are specific things I can do to retain details about my dreams. My dreams are always fragmented and a little fuzzy, which is normal I guess for when you are trying to remember them after a while. I want to retain details and the whole string of events of my dreams better. I also want to refine how I become lucid....eventually I want to be able to do the WILDing. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. |

The only way you can go into a dream knowing that it's a dream is through WILD. Kingyoshi has an awesome tutorial on it. |
|
Yes I had heard of the WILD technique. I'll be sure to look at that tutorial. And I had never heard of mantra. |
|
A mantra is basically saying to yourself a short sentence a few ties before bed. For example "I will have vivid dreams" |
|
Cool. I'll try it tonight along with some meditation. |
|
Oh also I am not sure if this affects anything or not but I am an extremely light sleeper. |

Yes but usually DEILD is used after you are already in a Lucid Dream. |

dont hold back on WILD (check my DJ), just go for it, i got it after 2 days of finding out you could train to lucid dream and because my dream recall is terrible i find this the most affective way, king yoshi's tutorial is all i needed. some people are more successfull than others but you dont need to be skilled to WILD, just focus! |

Do reality checks coupled with what I like to call "awareness checks". I'm getting great results. |
