Thread: Do you ever go back to the same location in a dream?

In my experiences, I tend to dream in the same locations, usually with one or two notable additions from past dreams. They are all created from places that I know and only exist in my mind. Usually it seems to depend on the dream plot. For instance, I had a dream recently about driving so it occurred in a dream place that has very wide roads that are shaped and banked like a racetrack. I always happen to go to that place whenever my dream involves fast or intense driving. Its a neighborhood, but all of the houses are exactly the same and I don't remember seeing the insides of the houses at all either, although they are never the focus of the dream. Maybe your mind doesn't need to create the insides to the house because all you need for the dream plot is the front yard.

Is there any sort of similarity to places you have been to in real life?

Most of the time im at my local bus terminal and everywhere there aree gipsy wagoons^^ you can read that in my DJ <-should be entertaining

Im in a city a lot.

Indeed, I have a couple of locations I have noticed that I keep returning to in my dreams, however I don't have the recall/control to use these locations to go into lucid : /
My Old School
My Hometown
An imaginary superduper hotel (it got everything)
A great cruise ship (might be the same as the superduper hotel)
My happy place (a green valley with bushes filled with gems)

Thanks for answering everyone. And There are not similarities to that one house in real life, but the thing is everytime I end up there I just finish having a dream about being with friends and having fun. This location seems to always be sunny it never changes everytime I go there.

What do you think it means that I go there only when I have dreams about being with friends?

Yeah I have a place that keeps reoccurring in my dreams. Every time its at this airport, but there isn't anyone there. And I can't leave the airport because the doors are locked. Every time I have these dreams they are really vivid too.

The place that I visit often in my dreams its a valley with high grass, I've never been to place like that in my life,. I started dreaming about it after I read it in a book when I was a kid I think. Sometimes it has a very big tree, other times it has a swings.

I have a couple recurring locations in non-lucids.

I often(or almost all the time) tend to go back to the nearby street outside my house.

I dream about my old house fairly often. Probably because it's way nicer than the one I'm living in now

Maybe that place is what your brain associates with old friends. Idk, I rarely dream about specific people, except maybe my girlfriend.

Bethare- I started dreaming about my location like after i turned 10 or so

yes mostly during deilds and i have had nonlucids where im in the same enviroment as before but theses dreams are usually spead out by weeks at a time.
