Somnimancey-Control of Dreams?

Hello all, I have a thread in Newbies, but I would like to just post a thought. A more mystical name I use for Lucid Dreaming, or, more specifically, dream control, is Somnimancy. It means (I made it up, so don't correct me.) the control of dreams. It is a mix of the Latin prefix Somni, meaning dream, and the common (And slightly misused) suffix Mancy, which is, again, misused, but I will say it basically means control through magic. I know, this was kinda pointless, but just tell me your thoughts.

Actually I am pretty sure that Somnus in fact means sleep, and that Oneiro- would be the prefix to use if you want to specify dreams. Regardless, that sounds cool so go ahead and use it.

Awesomes i gave mine a name like that too, i called it oneiropathy? (oneiro - dream, pathy - mind)

I call it oneironautics the term is common and sounds more scientific than magical, which is the message I like to get across!

Or unilngopyu if you prefer a Na'vi term that will baffle everybody... unil = dream ngop = control yu = -er unilngopyu = dream controller

I like oneiromancy much better. Somnimancey sounds weak. I just say lucid dreaming though. It's cool enough not to need fancy words.

I just LOVE unilngopyu... If you are a master lucid dreamer you are "unilngopyu asìltsan." If you are a bad lucid dreamer you are "unilngopyu akawng" or worse "unilngopyu sì skxawng."

Whenever I look up the latin word for dream, I get somnium.... Wow, Chimera is a synonym for dream.... Awesome...
