What type of Lucid Dream was this if it was a lucid dream at all?

I recently started trying to get better at lucid dreaming and it's something I want to experience. I've had lucid dreams in the past by accident, not intending to but only like 2 or 3 that I can remember.

Anyhow, I've been keeping a dream journal for the past week and I try to tell myself to wake up after each dream before I go to sleep to help make my memory of my dream better.

Today, it worked. I woke up about 3 hours earlier than usual and I remembered my dream, so I quickly jotted the key notes about it on my iPhone and went back to bed, not intending to lucid dream or anything.

Then, I had another dream, but before that dream ended and I didn't wake up, instead I had a totally different dream that became Lucid when I did a reality check in my dream. I was in a different world, almost like a game, and I immediately tried to relax myself after I knew I was dreaming as I had remembered and I did that by just smelling things and using my senses like I had learned. I did a second reality check (the holding the nose and breathing out through it thing) but it didn't really work, so I thought it was odd. I went to look in a mirror, and my reflection was me but it was me dressed in things I wouldn't wear so that re-assured me I was dreaming. I woke up after what seemed like 5 or so minutes in my lucid dream.

The problem is, when I woke up, I didn't remember that lucid dream. I remembered the first dream I had before the lucid dream and I wrote that one next to the one I wrote down 3 hours earlier. So I had two dreams for that night. However, later in the day I remembered the lucid dream I had which made 3 dreams in one night.

What happened here?

i remeber my dreams though out the day but if there lucid i remeber them right after i wake up beacuse it was the last dream i had so if your wondering why you remeberd it so late it beacuse it wosent the last dream you had

That happens sometimes. I sometimes forget to wright a dream down or just plain don't remember it when I wake up but if I think about something that triggers the memory I can bring back the whole dream to my mind.

It seemed like a regular short Lucid Dream. Your brain will do funky things when recalling dreams, and this is a prime example showing that just because a dream is lucid it doesn't mean you will recall it. Just keep practicing dream recall and hopefully you will remember more dreams off the bat.
