      Lucid Nightmare?

Is it possible to have Lucid Nightmare? I heard it's hard due to knowing it's not real. But still is it possible? Anyone done it before?

Yes, it's very possible. Like non-lucids, lucid dreams can sometimes "run away" from you in terms of control and contain dark tones that turn the dream into a nightmare without your consent. I've had my fair share of lucid nightmares, but they occur the same amount as non-lucid ones, maybe even less since I've stopped quite a few of them in their tracks using conscious dream control.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Its possible. In fact I had one a few weeks ago, that blocked out my lucid dream powers. Lucid nightmares are often just scary dream settings, that you enter knowing its a dream. Like when video games might frighten you, thats how lucid night mares work. Often times you in a place you cant get out of or wake up from and something scary happens like a zombie coming from no where and grabing you.

Why you ask, or even want one is you indeed do is a mystery. I wouldn't call it a thing that I did, I call it a thing that happend to me.

Yeah. I will have nightmares and suddenly become lucid. But usually during these types of dreams my control is terrible. I think I just get too anxious. So when I try to fly away, I fall back down and the chase resumes. I'll often just wake myself up.

So it is possible to go back to non lucidity then? Interesting. I always thought it was a wake up call(pardon the pun) and all.
