Hi Duo,

1: Is forgetting the world necessary?
Yes; the goal of SP is to relax completely, to the point where you're almost completely unaware of your physical body. If you focus too much on it, your mind could think you're still awake.

2: Do eyes count for SP?
You can swallow and move your eyes, but just let them move by themselves; don't purposefully look anywhere or do anything voluntary. If you relax enough, you probably won't even notice your eyes moving and they might relax on their own, but if they're moving don't worry about it. Worrying about eye movements will only harm the WILD attempt because it gets you nervous and worked up. You have to be very calm and relaxed.

3: What happens if you focus on your body in a dream?
If you focus on your dream body, you'll feel your dream body. If you happen to make the mistake of thinking of your physical body lying in bed, you might end up destabilizing the dream, or worse - waking up or entering a false awakening, so don't do this! After a successful WILD, it's important to touch objects and rub your dream hands together to rid yourself of any residual feelings that may have been brought over into the dream from your physical body.

4: How to escape SP?
If you're paralyzed, it probably won't do much good to try moving (you can try imagining your body moving and really feel the tactile sensations like gravity, etc, but it's never worked for me). Instead change your breathing pattern. When you become relaxed, you'll adopt a constant shallow breathing pattern, and this is one of the signs that your mind uses to tell if you're asleep. If you make your breathing deeper or irregular, it can break you out of the SP.
