1. You could try anchoring your dreams into your emotions more. 2. As you become more aware of what you want in waking life, that'll flow into the dreamstate. 3. Also meditating might help push this along, as the mind becomes quiet the senses are heightened. Yea, I'm sounding fortune cookieish aren't I.
Try a variety of methods and see what works. Oh, and I've noticed diet can play a part in dreaming. My dreams are crap after I've eaten a huge meal or a lot of red meat.... which is why I don't eat red meat anymore. However, what works for me may not work for you, so trial and error fellow dreamer... trial and error.
