Unsure if i was lucid, or it was a non-lucid dream about attaining lucidity?

Well i had just found out about lucid dreaming, 3 days ago. I started off with dream recall & dream journal, having the determination to remember at least 1 dream every night. Strangely, i remembered 4 different ones! I was a little surprised, since i didn't expect to even fully remember one. I did more research on WILD, DILD, EILD, etc. The Electronically Induced Lucid Dream caught my attention. I read more about it, and saw that 3 members had already uploaded mp3 files for EILDS. So i decided to download them and try them out. I did, listened to 1 and when it was over i began to fall asleep. I was dreaming about 2 friends at school, and then the dream began to fade away. A whole different dream had now appeared. I had a false awakening, waking up in my dream. But when i awoke, my room was re-arranged differently. So i'm not sure, but i think the sight of my room looking different triggered a logical response from my brain saying "No, this isn't right." And in that moment i believe i becsme lucid. I slowly started to rise from my bed (still in this differently arranged room) and i saw blotches of black on my walls, and i remember repeating to myself "Am i lucid? Is this what being lucid is?" And i started getting excited and my heart began to race with excitement, and i guess i got too excited, and i woke up. I was pretty mad, lol. But anyways, i didn't do a reality check, so it's not like i am 100% sure i was lucid, but i remember being aware that my room was not the way it should be.. so i guess my question (after this long story) is, was i really lucid? Or was i just vividly recalling a non-lucid dream, about BEING lucid?

Well honestly, only you can really know for sure. It sounds like you could have been, but maybe not. Do you remember ever telling yourself "I'm dreaming" or "This is a dream" while inside the dream?

Anyway, it sounds like you're making a lot of progress! I'm sure if you keep up what you're doing you will start to have lucids soon!

And to be honest, i forgot to add that in my dream, I believe it was very unstable aswell, because everything looked foggy and unclear, like if i was groggy. And also because I also read that unstablized lucids become interrupted pretty quickly.thanks for the advice! My next goal is to successfully manage a WBTB.. i'll be sure to post if i get lucid
