I've read a few posts where people say that sleeping in a bed that's not their own makes it easier for them to lucid dream. So that may be it. I've experienced this a few times myself. |

For some reason I cannot gain lucidity while I am sleeping in my bed. HOWEVER, while I'm at my boyfriends house sleeping all I have to do is fall asleep with the intent of having a lucid dream, and I will. I honestly have to put no effort into it. There are a few differences between our beds however. It's a water bed, for one. And I'm sleeping by myself. His is a soft mattress that is extremely comfortable as well, but I sleep in different positions. Could this all be in my head or is there something to it? I honestly don't understand. |

I would assume that you feel more comfortable there or more happier to be closer to your boyfriend? And when you want to do something it's more easy as your mind is more relaxed and comfortable(Same for your emotions?). This is just asuming as I have no idea but to me it would make sence. Maybe when you are at your home sleeping there you might try to meditate before sleep? So you relax yourself and such. |

Lucid Goals : (X = Complete, O = Almost done)
-Be strong in the LD so I don't get scared by every maniac DC in my LD's (), Confront maniac DC's and find out why they are attacking me (), Meet my DG inside the dream (), Get a peacefull LD (), Do something special in a LD that is not able to In waking life (), Have fun in a LD ().
I would say your mind is more aware and alert when not in your own bed. You are more cautious and therefore when you fall asleep, you are that much more aware than usual, so you get LDs easier. I would bet that after becoming more comfortable and homely at your boyfriends house, those LD's will stop. |

I agree with Avalanche. There seems to be something to be said about sleeping 'away from home.' I think the mind naturally tends to be more aware of its surroundings, even when it's with someone you are comfortable with. It's a defense mechanism. You are much more likely to keep 'one eye open' (aka, being a little more aware) when you are in unusual surroundings. The mind and body don't like to be completely defenseless, or unable to become alert at a moment's notice, even when it's asleep. |

Well I say they will stop, by logic. You can't LD as well in your own bed because you are comfortable and homely there. Therefore, if you become comfortable in your boyfriends house, the same rule will apply, and you won't LD as much. |
