      In A Non-lucid Dream Funk!

      Hey everyone!
In the past year I've had about 50 lucid dreams and was pretty excited about learning to double my monthly average of about 4-5 LDs per month to 8-10. So when the month of October came strolling along I found I recorded only about 2 LDs and my dream recall was really fuzzy. Anyone else go through dry spells like this? If you do, do you notice that you worry you might have "lost the gift"? Also, any tips on getting out of this non-lucid funk?

Depends, do you use DILD or WILD primarily?

My recall had been absolute crap due to stress that came from lack of sleep (double win, i know!). Try and sleep an hour or two before your normal sleep time lately and do some short meditation sessions throughout the day. Whether it be stop what you're doing and focusing on your breathing until you feel calm or giving yourself some time out of your schedule dedicated to meditation. Worked wonders for me.

I went through a dry spell like that.

I still remember some of my dreams and I've had so many lucid dreams but I'm not really taking the time to write in my dream journal even when I have so much time.

It's probably just a dry spell and nothing to worry about...as long as you're doing all the same things you were, you should be fine. Dry spells happen to everyone, and sometimes for seemingly no reason at all. Having said that, I can't help but get those paranoid "I've lost my LD ability!" moments when I have dry spells...even though my dry spells are usually only a few days long... (yes, I know, I'm spoiled...)
