      Relaxation tip for sleep

I use to experience a racing mind when I would try to sleep, basically if I used any thought on anything, including affirmations, I would stay too awake. What I have found that works for me, for relaxing my mind has been a variation of many things, but what I did last night worked great, so I thought I'd post it here for anyone looking for any tips with relaxing the mind. If it works for you, then rock on, if not, then hopefully you'll find something that will.

I got the idea from one of the DV Academy chat logs, I'm positive it was a tip from PercyLucid, he mentioned using a treasure chest and putting the days events and any other thoughts into the treasure chest and when there was nothing left, locking it up. By the way, that is a very quick run down description of it, he went into far better description than I just did.

What I did is a variation of it, but it's because my mind works more based off cartoon type images (except in my dreams for some reason). What I did was I imagined a cartoon character, a little wirey bastard too, and he just had pieces of paper in front of him and he just sporadically went through them all, they had any random thought of mine written on it, then he put it into a big ass bubble and just chunked it into nothingness, laughing the whole time. Like I said, the guy was wirey. But after that, I immediately sunk deep into relaxation.

Like I said this is just a variation of what I found works wonders for me, the idea came from PurcyLucid's technique, but I couldn't imagine a treasure chest or anything. For some reason, cartoon images is usually what pops into my visualization, so I went with it. If this works for anyone, rock on. If you need help with relaxation, and you don't have a cartoon based mind haha, then PurcyLucid's technique will work wonders for clearing your mind at night.

      Hope this helps anyone.

One thing I find very helpful is reverse blinking. That stuff usually helps me go to relax for WILDs and the like.

I actually found it in one of his class logs, if I'm not mistaken it was the first one, it was hard to read through because a lot of the people kept talking in between him, but I learned a hell of a lot, like patience, just from his class logs. It's without a doubt worth a try. I forgot who did it, but someone has a class on meditation, and I plan on going through the logs for that as well. The only reason why I don't go to the classes is because my work schedule is so messed up, I only commit to things I can do on my own time. Otherwise, I'd go to them all!

And the reverse blinking really worked wonders for me too, just sometimes my mind starts off racing, and I have to do something like I described to settle it, and other times, my mind is already relaxed, so the reverse blinking works wonders.
