      recall tips

      how can i increase my recall. i have a dream journal and most nights i tell me self to remember my dreams, but i cant seem to remember them in the morning

      I quite inadvertently increased my recall last night because I should have used the bathroom before bed but I didn't. I woke several times (feeling like I needed to go) and had vivid dreams clearly in mind each time. It's actually a well-known technique - drink a big glass of water before bed. Try it.

      What Dark said, I'll explain it for you, You'll have to pee really bad so you'll wake up fresh after REM with it still vividly in your mind, so a recalled vivid dream. I just use autosuggestion most of the time. You could try the MILD technique but change it to MIRD as recalled dream instead of lucid dream I'm guessing -.-

      I've noticed that when I sleep "like a baby" meaning soundly and undisturbed for hours -- I have no dream recall! But, when I wake up often throughout the night I can have insanely vivid DR. My understanding (and also from reading the above post) is that I am waking up after a REM cycle and so the ND is quite vividly recalled.
