      Stability fail

      So make things short,
I went into an LD after using the WBTB technique and became spontaneously lucid.
The problem is, I'm in some kind of a temple, a very, very dark temple.
I was trying to stabilize my dream by looking that the floor reflected by moon light, which then I ended up seeing everything in greyscale and slowly getting darker till I wake up.

Is there any ways to stabilize your dream without looking at things?

      Hey, Objective.

There are a few ways to stabilize a dream without the use of sight. If you aren't able to see, try using the other four senses. Listen in. What do you hear? Move your hands around the dream environment? What do the textures of the objects feel like? Hell, since it's a dream, you could even lick something in your environment. Basically, anything involving the senses will aid you in stabilizing.

One other way is through the use of affirmations. You've probably heard of these. Basically, this involves "commanding" your subconscious to do something. If you want stabilization, for instance, you could likely shout, "AWARENESS NOW!" or "CLARITY NOW!" Note that, when utilizing these, you'll likely want to yell. Don't just say it. KNOW that your dream will stabilize and, as the laws of Dream Control work, it will happen.

Whoa, interesting way the dream faded...anyway, my favorite method to stabilize is by rubbing my hands or touching an object. Even if things fade to black, don't give up! Keep trying to touch something and believe it will come back.

Rubbing my hands together always works really well. It's simple, easy to remember and is very effective

      Why did I forget that?
I'll remember to do that the next time I LD.

Aww. Don't beat yourself up over it too much. It's hard enough to remember to RC in a dream. Remembering what to do and remembering tasks on top of that is even more difficult.
