Has anyone ever had a lucid dream of being under water?

The one kind of lucid dream or even dream in general is one of me being underwater... exploring the ocean or something similar. I haven't explored lucidity in such dream, maybe because I can barely swim in real life, yet my interest in having such a lucid dream in growing.

Has anyone ever had such lucid dreams?

I once jumped into an ocean in an LD. I immediately surfaced, having lost my lucidity, and was pulled out from the water by a nude man playing the piano with his penis. I've had two memorable non-lucid dreams of being under water in a pool. In both instances, I was able to stay under water as long as want, not having to surface for air.

I had one once (I had almost forgotten, it was such a long time ago). I had been reading about how when Stephen LaBerge was a kid, he had dreams where he was drowning and then remembered that in dreams he could breathe underwater. I dreamed a similar scenerio which triggered one of my early lucids.

It would be pretty cool to go exploring the bottom of the ocean. Maybe I'll make that a lucid goal

You can breath in the ocean in a lucid dream, so you don't have to worry about drowning.

I had one just this past Sunday. I became lucid in my room. Soon after becoming lucid, my room filled up with water all the way up to the ceiling. I could swim really easily, and breathing underwater feels awesome. It had a cool, refreshing feeling, not unpleasant at all.

Yes. I can't swim that well either. I thought I was drowning in the dream and then became lucid.

Yeah! I was riding a bike through the air over the ocean and decided to ride my bike on the bottom of the ocean floor. Epic.

All the water dreams describe here do sound epic. I'm going to have to spend more time around the ocean here in California and feel some of it's energy - I'm sure a dream will follow eventually.

I've had few water dreams as well, 1 or 2 were regular ones where I got lucid when I gave up on holding breath underwater while "drowning". I've also had LD where I was really deep underwater and I felt pressure, the deeper I went the more I felt it. At sme points it was so strong my vision was fading and it actually hurt. Basically I felt vibrations and stuff like that when you try to WILD through dream. I wasn't on the edge of waking up before I entered too deep.

I was attemting to fly in one of the lucids, but kept falling, so when I saw the ocean before me I just free fell into the water. It was really dark out there and also kind of dusty, was hard to breath because of dust...yeah, go figure. But it was pretty cool though.

I like to go swimming in my lucids, because I can breathe underwater. I think it's also interesting how the water feels from dream to dream. Sometimes it's very realistic, and sometimes it's no different than being in the air.

I've had non-lucid dreams in which I'm underwater and able to breathe, though I do want to have one while lucid.

Normally, I go swimming in what appear to be rainbow-colored coral reefs. (Once I even swam in an underwater aquarium. Mind screw much?) Those are always a treat to have. Especially considering that, even though I love it, I'm never really able to go for a swim in waking reality.

Some of my near death experiences in life have been around water 1 - being thrown in a pool and not being able to swim as a child and 2- Ocean waves pulling me away from shore and into the sea. Perhaps this is why have tried everything in my power to avoid any such lucid dreams. =D

DreamInception: Actually, I almost drowned as a child too, when I had attended one of my mother's friend's parties. Come to think of it, after that, I wonder why I'm not deathly afraid of water.
