In my dreams, I've had water, and if I ever go in it, I can always breathe. This makes me wonder what it's like in lucid dreams.

For those of you who have gone through water in lucid dreams, what's it like? (what does your mind make of it?)

It's a rather interesting thought, ever since I've read the fourth Harry Potter book, I've always had that feeling in dreams, like, oxygen being pumped around my lungs. It's rather odd. In the next few lucids, it's definitely something I'm gonna try.

To me, I can breath normally underwater. I swim normally and have seen/experienced normal things and weird things.

Nothing special I can recall though... *shrugs*

Don't trust what you are seeing right now because you might be dreaming right now. Be LUCID! I repeat, be LUCID!

The only lucid dream that I can recall where I was under water, I grew guills. Before that, I could not breathe though.

The fact that you can breathe underwater might have to do with the fact that you feel yourself breathing in reality. This would be similar to how the nose pinching RC works.

YEah. Everytime that I have a dream underwater, I can always breathe. Now...if only I could recognize the dreamsign. >_>

I've had two dreams underwater. The first one was one of the most memorable and vivid dreams I've ever had. I was on some docks in a foggy place and I jumped into the water. I was surprised how deep it was. I got to the bottom and it was beautiful. I saw some sea creatures swimming by.

2 underwater LDs for me too. Able to breathe with no problem. Swimming through the water felt like the real thing. Both dreams started out under water, at the bottom of a pool, and in the second dream I levitated up, out, and over the water. That was freaky, in a good way.

water in my dreams is always like water in real life. i can breath in it most often, and i just swim around in the water but never really go deep. water in my dreams scares me because i always feel like im about to sink/drown/die somehow and im mostly in the middle of lakes, oceans, or really deep water.
