What did I do wrong? Twice, in 1 night..

      1. Ok in a dream I remembered to do a Rc, the hand one failed so I breathed threw my nose, and surely I could. So I rubbed my hands together and It got all black and I just went out of the dream and then back in non lucid.

      2. My mom opened my door right when I was dreaming so I woke in SP and I tried to go back into a dream but nothing happened?

      1. My guess you just didn't concentrate enough possibly, or you got over excited and the dream went down hill. When things start to get blurry a good technique is to yell "Clarity!" and things would get clear again.

      2. My suggestion is to not think about the things around you and close your eyes and just relax, during this stage the images will be basic at first but again just relax and look at them. You might start to see
motion from the images then a dream should start to form. maybe it was just hard for you since your mom was about and you where thinking about her.

I don't think you did anything wrong personally, sometimes those things just happen. Has anything like that happen in the past?
Lucid dreaming takes three things: Patience, practice, and perseverance.

For the first one I didn't get exited at all I learned to keep that away and number 2 I should have just observed like you said, I kept getting all these distractions from down stairs and eventually fell out of SP :\

Try to immediately get involved in the dream. Find something close to you that you can touch or interact with. Worrying about waking up is enough to lead the dream in that direction. Instead of doing something to keep yourself from waking up, do something positive to encourage the dream to continue.

If this is one of your first lucid dreams, don't sweat it. It might take a few times to get used to the feeling.
