Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum although i've been a lucid dreamer all of my life. For as long as I can remember (and I can remember a lot of stuff of when I was about 3 yrs old) I've been lucid dreaming and I can still vividly recall a few of those dreams. I am concerned, however, that i might be losing my ability to lucid dream. Ever since I got engaged in December of 2010 and after getting married in september I have not been able to gain consciousness in my dreams as often as I used to. I still dream and I recall most of my dreams when I wake up in the morning, but while I'm dreaming I'm no longer able to take control of my dreams...or even gain consciousness while I'm dreaming. One of my friends sugested that it might be the big change in my life and that i'm probably just getting used to it and most likely I will get my ability to lucid dream in the future. I tried many things to gain consciousness during my dream, but when I do achieve that, 80% of the time I wake up as soon as I become lucid. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Can anyone advise me what to do? Any help will be appreciated. |

Ahh a natural, why not check out some of the guides and start to get a grasp on that ability you have! Not sure why dreams would become less stable with some much practice behind you. |

Have you changed your sleep pattern lately? If so, that may effect it. |

Maybe sharing your bed has messed up your routine? I know I have a harder time lucid dreaming when I sleep with someone else. I will sometimes move to the couch or an empty guest bedroom when I really want to lucid dream. It is easier to stay focused. |

I guess I'm in a similar situation although its been longer for me, I can't remember the last time I was lucid |
