Alright this was my first time being lucid and not waking up |

If you knew you were dreaming and attempted to control the dream, then it seems you were lucid to some degree. One can go from vivid dream to lucid dream and begin to slip back into a merely vivid dream. The level of lucidity depends on the level of conscious dreaming. |

That happens a lot. It depends on the dream. Sometimes, you're able to just stay lucid just because you 'don't forget' that you're dreaming. Other times, you'll get sidetracked and forget that you're dreaming. It only takes a second to fall out of that awareness, so you have to try to hold onto it. Sometimes, I'll actually repeat to myself "I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming" while I'm just walking around lucid, to keep myself from slipping out of lucidity. It does suck sometimes, but it does get easier. |
