      My dreams are.normal?

im having trouble.having a LD, I think its.because I have such normal dreams I think its hard for me to tell because my dreams are just so so normal. For example I play bball in.real life, and I had a dream about playing basketball on my team with the same coaches. Ive had a dream where im walking to the bus from.class. I guess the only different thing is im friends people in.my dreams who im not friends with in.real life. If.anyone had.suggestions please help.

Hi dryerfish, and welcome to dreamviews

Its a common problem so you definitely aren't alone! Dont worry about that part ;D

Have you started a dream journal? This way you can improve your recall and really be able to study your dreams and what works best for you. If you analyse your dreams you should be able to find flaws and notice dream like behaviour - because its very unlikely your dream is perfect in every way.

So my advice, get about a weeks worth of "data" and it should be a lot easier to find out what to do from there.

      Good luck!

      Welcome to DV!

Lots of people lucid dream without dream signs or recognizing any obvious indications that they're asleep, so if you don't have any repetitions, don't worry about it. Instead, focus on the generalities of your dreams - are they usually fuzzy? How mentally aware are you? How do you behave? Think about these things in real life, and stop every once in a while to see if you've been behaving like you would in in a dream. Look around you and see if things look weird, or distorted. Do a couple RCs.

Even though I've never used dream signs I have still gotten lucid, even in the normal dreams, simply by practicing being aware and considering what things would be like if I were dreaming, so don't feel like you have to spend loads of time picking through your DJ. Then again, different strokes for different folks so if you feel finding dream signs would be more beneficial, by all means go for it! ^^
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I also used to have this problem. Pretty much all my dreams were just about being in school. The one unusual thing was that my school never really looked like my school... But anyway, I agree with Desert Claw about dream journaling. Once I started a dream journal, I started remembering my dreams more clearly and having more unusual dreams that weren't always about typical, everyday life. So, definitely keep up with dream journaling if you're not already doing that.
