First, not all people need to go through SP in order to WILD so that could be a first problem. |

Well, you aren't 100% expecting it, but you ARE expecting it. So the thought can easily keep you awake for that long without much sucess. |

It's between 4 and 5 hours after going to sleep... Yes I close my eyes and I've not experienced any HH whilst attempting a WBTB. |

Ah, so how long do you stay up for the WBTB? Maybe you are staying up for too long and not sleepy enough? |

Normally I turn off the alarm and go straight back to sleep. |

Hm, I am guessing the alarm is loud. Are you a light sleeper? That could be a problem. |

Have you tried staying up longer than 10 min for WBTB? You should stay up until you can think straight, but you are still sleepy. It can be from couple of min to 1 hour. |

I can think perfectly within a couple of minutes after waking up... But then I'm not sleepy anymore lol. |

Are you getting too excited when you get up? Thinking about the coming day? Stay as calm as possible. I read DV, watch LD videos on youtube, read a book about LDing. You can do some relaxation when you go back to bed. Tell yourself, not sleeping is not an option. You will be wiped out next day. Sometimes it takes me an hour to fall back asleep, but just stay with it. |
