      A few visualization questions.

Greetings. I have a few questions regarding visualization. I was wondering recently about these questions recently and it would help me alot to get them off my shoulders.

      1. How does one estimate how good visualization he has? (poor visualization, good visualization, etc.)

      2. If one was to have good/medium visualization, how could he ultilize it in his effort to lucid Dream most effectively?

3.If one was to have poor visualization, how could he attempt to improve it?

Visualization is primarily to WILD or MILD. It's hard to rank how well your skill is. The clarity of the image is a good indicator as always. When you get into that deep trance when the HI begins to form, thats when the visualization really kicks in. Your skill can be measured in how well you can transform and exert a level of control over the HI, and how clear the images are.

You can improve this skill through simple practice. I actually, to work on it, would through the day take 15 minute resting periods. In which I would lye down and close my eyes with no actual intention to WILD or sleep. I would practice my relaxation techniques and then once the HI started coming around I would practice manipulation of it to increase my visualization skills. I found doing these exercises periodically really helped "work out" that portion of my brain so I had better control.

Chewnie91 is absolutly correct as far as I am concerned. I have added a link to a thread that talks about the same kind of ideas. I hope it helps. If you like it, please reply to the thread to bump it up, so others can see it.

I agree with the posts above. I would also like to add that in my experience, when in the dream and inducing, visualization seems to be aided by imagining how it feels, how it weighs in your hand, what the texture feels like when you touch it, even how it tastes and smells if it applies. That's what helps me anyways, trying to include all senses when visualizing it.
