      Red face Unsure

I am new on here, but I think I might be having lucid dreams, I am kind of unsure because I don't always realize that I am dreaming. However, when i am dreaming I can see colors like everything is real, touch, smell, everything. My boyfriend who is long distance currently keeps apearing in my dreams and I can smell him, and feel his arms around me when he hugs me, feel his lips against mine when he kisses me, I can hear his voice clearly. Up until these dreams started happening I rarely even remembered my dreams, but when I did they were never so real. Am I lucid dreaming? Or no because I don't actually realize its a dream until I wake up?

The term 'lucid dreaming' implies awareness of ones own dream being a dream. So although i wouldn't count it, however the lucidity involved in your dreams might very-well mean you are closer than others.

When you realize that you are dreaming that is called lucid dreaming. But after reading your post, I don’t think you are realizing that you are dreaming. This is not a lucid dream.

Yes, this is not a lucid dream what you described. If you know that you are just dreaming, that's a lucid dream.
Just because your dream seems more realistic, that's not lucid.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.
      I realize that i'm dreaming.

Sounds like you are really close to becoming lucid. I think all you need is a little 'awareness'. Have you tried some inductions techniques before? Check out the DV Wiki and decide on a technique - DILD or WILD.In general, DILD is much easier to start with. Please post any questions. Happy dreams

Like others have said, that does not count as lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is when one becomes aware they are in a dream while in it. To me, it sounds like your dreams are just very vivid. That's good! A lot of people have trouble with blurry dreams.
