The term 'lucid dreaming' implies awareness of ones own dream being a dream. So although i wouldn't count it, however the lucidity involved in your dreams might very-well mean you are closer than others. |

I am new on here, but I think I might be having lucid dreams, I am kind of unsure because I don't always realize that I am dreaming. However, when i am dreaming I can see colors like everything is real, touch, smell, everything. My boyfriend who is long distance currently keeps apearing in my dreams and I can smell him, and feel his arms around me when he hugs me, feel his lips against mine when he kisses me, I can hear his voice clearly. Up until these dreams started happening I rarely even remembered my dreams, but when I did they were never so real. Am I lucid dreaming? Or no because I don't actually realize its a dream until I wake up? |

When you realize that you are dreaming that is called lucid dreaming. But after reading your post, I don’t think you are realizing that you are dreaming. This is not a lucid dream. |

Yes, this is not a lucid dream what you described. If you know that you are just dreaming, that's a lucid dream. |

I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.

Sounds like you are really close to becoming lucid. I think all you need is a little 'awareness'. Have you tried some inductions techniques before? Check out the DV Wiki and decide on a technique - DILD or WILD.In general, DILD is much easier to start with. Please post any questions. Happy dreams |

Like others have said, that does not count as lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is when one becomes aware they are in a dream while in it. To me, it sounds like your dreams are just very vivid. That's good! A lot of people have trouble with blurry dreams. |
