      What was your longest dryspell

hey everyone, I need some encouragement. In a few days, I will hit the 6 month mark for my current longest dryspell. If you look at my sig, the number of lucids I had in my 1st year was halved in my 2nd, and 2 months into the 3rd and I'm not looking good. So my question for you is how long did your longest dryspell last? Feel free to include additional information, such as how many you began to have after breaking it, how you broke it, and if you had any more a little while later. I just want to feel like I can break out of this again.

A few weeks. I usually get like 1 every 2 weeks but now not so much since I'm busy with school. I think that makes a difference because I read the more enthusiastic you are, the more often you get them. So I've been worrying about other stuff. Hopefully in the summer it will get more frequent.

I haven't had one for like a couple weeks now. However, I haven't been doing this for too long, but I had a couple in the first couple weeks. Then finals and AP exams started, but I'll be done by Friday so hopefully I'll be able to focus more on LDs instead of school

I have been having a dry spell right now its been only a few weeks. But in the past I have gone up to a year without a ld. I have been ld all my life off and on. I try to get better at dream recall that usualy helps. I have also tried a mugwort pillow it seems to work sometimes to bring back my lucidity. I also do a meditation before bed lying on my back( I do not sleep on my back though ) just relaxing then I tell myself I will have a ld . Then if all else fails I do not think about it for a bit and eventually they come back . I also seem to revisit the how to stuff on lucid dreaming in case I forgot something .Sometimes its just the point in our lives where other dreams need to be dreamed .At least that is how I see it But once you have lucid dreamed you will do it again . Stress does have something to do with it too as the people up above have said. I am a crafter so before a big show I dont seem to be lucid because I am too busy making crafts that it runs into my dreams. Good luck .

My most recent and longest dry spell: 1 month and 2 weeks. On the 3rd-4th week of my dry spell, I stopped my WILD attempts and just decided to take a break and let luck do its work. Not much happened during that span of time, just short dream fragments and the like. I didn't do WBTB or WILD, I was too bummed to even do an RC. But then, motivation came. Yesterday, I decided to get back into the game again and guess what, I had a lucid. But that's not all, today, I also got another lucid. This just shows that if you're experiencing a really long dry spell, all you need is a break; and when you're feeling motivated, you head back into the ring.

Hey siuol, sorry for the frustration.

My longest dry-spell was easily in the ballpark of a year or so. I'm not completely sure because I wasn't keeping a journal at the time. Which is part of the reason why I had said dry-spell. When I committed to my journal again, started posting on DV more and asking questions, making sure I got proper sleep, and basically keeping the subject of lucid dreaming on the forefront of my mind, my lucids came back full force.

You'll find you're groove again, just don't give up.

I'm sorta in the middle of one right now. I remember around this time last year being like "Yay, Summer! Time to lucid dream!", but I didn't even try. I kinda forgot about lucid dreaming, save for the reality check every once in a while and the "I almost had a lucid, I should keep a journal!" then not even writing in said dream journal.

I am getting back into lucid dreaming and want to work on my journal, now that Summer's coming. I just hope I can get the will power to stick with it.

"sighs" Somewhere around a year, maybe more. It was due to not sleeping so yeah... it got fixed as soon as I got my sleep back, dark times, dark times.

When I moved to Colorado I was under a lot of immense stress because I wasn't able to find work for a couple of months because the economy was pretty bad. Couple that with crazy roommates, a severe lack of sleep and ignoring my dream journal, I had a three month dry spell. Even when I was dreaming out there, I hardly wrote stuff down. I'm proud to say that since I moved back to the Dakotas and got treatment for my medical condition, I have been having awesome dreaming (multiple dreams, lucid, great stuff) most every night I sleep. This is partly because I am healing and always writing down things in my journal.

My longest dryspell was over 1 year long. I almost lost my interest. When I became motivated again, I had an LD after 2 weeks. I had 2 LDs in the first month since I started again and awesome 10 LDs the next month. Since then I rarely have so many LDs. What's wrong?

I had 2 DILD's in 3 days, haven't had one for 11 days now though, which isn't anything unusual. I couldn't imagine going on a 6 month dry spell.
