What music inspires you for lucid dreaming?

      Just curious.
I will post four songs that I find very inspiring:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TujBOilUp8o&fmt=18 (Title: Disciples of Babylon)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKvknx08_Mc&fmt=18 (Title: Trail of Broken Hearts)
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-bS7mCCWs8&fmt=18 (Title: Reasons To Live)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9--uSCJdtE&fmt=18 (Title: Above the Winter Moonlight)
The first one starts out kind of like a nightmare with the lyrics.
      Discuss ;D.

The song teardrop by massive attack reminds me of the general feeling of the dreamstate, as well as being a kickass song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG8eQBSp9Ao

Also, whenever I hear amazing grace I feel generally inspired

I listened to AIR two nights ago, after drinking orange juice, and nearly got a WILD.
with my eyes open and 4 TIMES. Yes, I said 4 times!
      without WBTB!
and the dream I had that night was really clear, and my mind was working throughout it. Means I was sort of lucid, i.e. I was thinking, but wasn't aware. All I remember seems short, but I know it was longer. but seriously, listen to AIR, drink OJ + take Vitamins (Emergen-C for the win!), and WILD.

If I were you, or you were me ^^ , I'd listen to 'Mike Mills' first, and then 'Sexy Boy' second. The thing about Mike Mills, in particular, is that every single time I listen to it, there's always a sense of euphoria. I'm not kidding- really, listen to it! Afterwards, if you like, maybe listen to Daft Punk's 'Around the World'.

The song I listened to the first time I had a stable lucid dream (played it in my head) was We Are Always Searching by I Am Ghost. I've always liked that song, and it played in well with Spider-Manning through a city

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65pFEt9nDco

Kind of shitty quality, but it's still a decent song.

They used to have it so you could download all of there mixes. I noted each one produced a different kind of dream. And it was pretty much always constant. Really helped in re-creating dreams.

Also this groups music pretty chill http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndID=145267707 you can sample it there.

Also some of the songs off of the Casshern Original Sound Track.

      And.... some Japanese tunes mostly.

Although falling asleep without music does produce quite good results as well.

The two types of music that work best with lucid dreaming for me are mellow and trance.

Everything You've Ever Dreamed by Arianne always puts me into that "its time to dream" mode. Not to mention the nostalgia bomb.

This is unrelated to the thread, but I have to say I'm surprised. Why'd you change your avatar, Shift? Ever since I signed up you had that creepy seeming one, this new one doesn't seem right.

there is a indivial unsing trip-hip, electronical, and so on.
his name is emancipator, the album name is "soon it will be cold enough".

here are some of his work:

the album puts the brain in theta waves thats incited learning and lucidity, at least in my case, i suggest you look into it. for it has helped me obtain lucidity before sleep listening to the extremely soothing music.

Great Topic...I know it's been done before, but I wasn't on the boards for those other threads Click here for a 28 song lucid dreaming playlist I created on IMEEM. I've been tweaking this playlist for over 4 years so I hope you'll enjoy it. It starts out rather slowly; good music to fall asleep to, then picks up. I've used some artists that folks have mentioned previously in this thread, such as Massive Attack, Brian Eno, Enigma, Aphex Twin, and Sigur Ros, as well as others like Moby, Lisa Gerrard, Clint Mansell and James Newton Howard (soundtracks).

If anyone else wants to post their playlist on IMEEM, I highly recommend it over youtube. You can have the full song with little to no compression, not to mention the playlist itself.

I dont have any in particular to post, but as far as dreaming goes, Ill definitely go with techno/trance ftw. The constant tempo is great in helping me fall asleep when I cant on my own.

Funny you mention that actually. Considering I have been playling around with over multi-focusing myself into sleep using the tempo of trance lately. It seems to be extremely effective considering one and a half of the two times I've tried this I had a LD. It's pretty fickin' awesome to finally have a good use for the last 20mins of class when everyone else is still working.
