Hard to say if you dreamt about an RC. Usually from my experience no, but that is not definite. Really the only one who can decide that is you. |

I appeared in a strange room with white carpeting. I walked down some stairs and was in my friend's living room. I fell asleep and had a dream within a dream. I did an RC in the dream and realised I was dreaming. I then woke up from both dreams. |

"and realised I was dreaming". Yep, that means u where lucid. |

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.
That is usually a good indicator that you were lucid. We don't always have control in lucids so yours was on the soft side judging from your brief description, but even a small amount of lucidity is a good start. |

If you dreamt about doing an RC and saying I am lucid, but did not truely have an experience of personally realizing it was a dream, then not lucid. If instead in that moment you brought some of your waking awareness forward and honestly realized you were dreaming, then it is a lucid even though it ended right away. |

Thanks all who replied; it helped me to figure out that I was in fact lucid. |

If you realized that you were dreaming then it was lucid dream. |
