Thread: Almost a DEILD

So, last night I had no intention of doing a DEILD. I just repeated my mantra for a while and went to sleep.

I remember having a very odd dream/nightmare sort of thing. I was playing DayZ (I don't own Arma II, by the way) and some zombies came in to the room I was sleeping in. I just said "what the heck, i'll just quit", and when I did. I fell in to the void as soon as I did so, and I felt myself just about to wake up--but I stopped.

Normally when I go to sleep I wake up from it without any warning. Either something different happened this time or it was part of a dream, I don't know, but I felt myself become conscious while lying in my bed. Despite the fact that I had never attempted to DEILD before, I kept perfectly still. Soon, that tingly sensation passed over my body and a green-and-blue swirly pattern passed vividly over my eyes. I could hear a large amount of wind and random swooshing, as if I was going through a portal. I could also just barely hear a voice saying "Wake up... time to wake up...". Later, I heard a voice much more clearly and much more strangely: "Hello? Do you believe in me? Save me..." (I have to admit, it was quite funny). At this point I remembered that I was supposed to visualize about my dream. I couldn't think of anything, so I imagined a stereotypical island. The swooshing noises became louder and louder, before I opened my eyes.

I was in my room, sort of. Everything looked sort of like it was part of a jungle, but then when I investigated they didn't. Then I realized that I had woken up (for real).


Was this almost a DEILD? How close was this to a real one?
