Lucidity just means that you know that you are dreaming. It is possible to dream that you know that you are dreaming, if that makes sense
Sometimes dreams can convince us stuff that doesn't make sense. For example this night I had a lucid dream where I met a person I thought I knew, only to wake up and realize that I had no idea of who it was. So it was lucidity yes, full awaness no...
It's impossible for anyone but you to decide wether it was a lucid dream or not. I think awareness is a better term of knowing your state because a lucid dream can be anything from:
Knowing you are in a dream, but trying to convince your dream character that they are dreaming, to knwoing you are dreaming but also having full control of the dream, know that your physical body is in a bed, dream characters aren't real and they themself know that they aren't real!
I kind of repeat myself about this all the time... But I think it's important to get the information out there. But I use Reece Jones "Layer of lucidity" (Layers of awareness) and there you can clearly see how aware you were if you compare it to your dream. The goal aren't and shouldn't be only lucidity but also more awareness! More info about that is in my DJ description.
