      Smile Thank you.

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to DV and the LD community in general. I started trying to Lucid dream a few months ago and only had a few very partially lucid dreams, which was quite demoralising and I started to think that I would never LD. But, a few days ago I was having a very peculiar dream located in an ice-rink. I noticed something strange, a flickering light above me, so I plugged my nose and tried to breathe. It took second for me to realise, but I was in fact breathing and it was the most amazing realisation, so amazing in fact that I woke myself up.
Although it was extremely short lived, this event has reinstated the passion I once had for trying to attain lucidity, and I now know I need to work on keeping calm.

Again, thank you to everyone, this is quite possibly the most friendly community I have come across on the internet and I hope that one day I can give back and help people to LD as well.

Congratulations on the lucid dream, even if it was brief.

I'm glad you find this to be a friendly community! We're glad to have you as part of it and I hope we hear more success stories from you!

Hey, congrats! I know exactly how you feel. The excitement at the moment of realization is out of this world, and I still get it after all these LDs. It wakes me up, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

Hold on to this feeling and recall it each time you ask yourself "am I dreaming" and do RCs. It will help your mind to associate your happiness with lucid dreams and it will help you achieve them both.

Please ask your questions, or check out the DV Academy for some personalized guidance in finetuning your technique. Happy dreams

      You're welcome, etek3!

Hopefully, we will be able to help you a lot more in the future. Congratulations on your very first lucid dream. It is definitely a very exciting experience. As you progress, you will be able to control not waking up right away and stay lucid longer. Good luck! If you have any questions, let us know.
