RCs and ADA is great. You could add writing your dreams in a dream journal and mantras. |

So I have been trying to lucid dream for about a month and came across this website and think its a great idea for others to collaborate about such a fascinating topic. I have had false awakenings, remember about 2 dreams a night and even became semi-aware in one dream but woke up due to excitement (I think that's why I woke up). I am trying everything under the sun to just get to the point of a controlled lucid dream but can't seem to get it. Does anyone have any other advice so I can put the nail in the coffin and finally break that barrier that's been stopping me for some reason? I currently do daily reality checks and the ADA method. Any other tips or information would help! Thanks guys! |

Thanks for the reply and I am currently writing in my dream journal every morning. I am really interested in the DV Academy though, thanks for the information! Wish me luck! |

Try sleep cycles, that works for me. |

Sounds good, I'll give it a shot! What is something you commonly think about before having a lucid dream, almost like your "background" or "structure" while you fall asleep again consciously? |

Well for me, I just think about having a lucid dream and when I wake up and before I go back to sleep it's on my mind. |

Alright I'll just go with the flow and see where my mind takes me instead of forcing a dreamscape. And I'm sorry to hear about the lucid drought, I hope you get it back soon and I hope I start! Haha thanks for the advice. Good luck |

There are people on here with a lot more experience than me and a lot of previous threads and articles with information. |

Visualizing, or incubating your dream can help, but that's mostly for WILD. For DILD, saying mantras like "next time I'm dreaming, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming" is really helpfull. But of course, for this to work, you have to practice looking at hands RC with that mantra during day. Check out this collection of methods for DILD. |
