What do dreams feel like to you guys?

Just out of curiosity, I wanted to know what you guys' dreams feel like to you. Personally, mine always have a feeling of either solitude and disconnection or a feeling of deep threat, fear, desperation, hopelessness, and danger. The feelings of disconnection and solitude are pretty drastically amplified when I'm lucid and I just friggin' love it. Those feelings definitely seem to reach their peak when I'm in flight or I see something amazing or beautiful.
So what's it like for you guys, eh?

V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey: Well I can see that...
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation. I'm simply remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

I share your love for the solitude of being in a lucid dream, but due to my inexperience as a dreamer, my dreams still feel like false memories rather than actual experiences if that makes sense. I hope to expand my consciousness to where dreaming feels like real life, and I just cant wait to get to that point.

I'm with you on the solitude aspect. When Lucid, I know I'm the only "living" human in my universe. Sure, dream characters are there, but I know they're dream characters. It just seems like I own the world, as if I can do anything to it. But the fact that I'm the "only one" there, it can sometimes be saddening. There is a ton of stuff to do. But sometimes, I just like to walk around towns, cities, and other populated places and think about how none of it is real, how none of the characters are actually real, how I'm alone there. It's a pretty powerful thing.

The sailor does not control the sea, nor does the lucid dreamer control the dream. Like a sailor, lucid dreamers manipulate or direct themselves in the larger expanse of dreaming; however, they do not control it. Lucid dreaming appears to be a co-created experience. ~Robert Waggoner

My lucids feel very realistic, it just astound me every time. However, there is a certain quality in the atmosphere that is quite off. I can't really explain it but it seems a bit humid and sepia-ish in ambiance. My dreams also feel overwhelming like I need to do something yet I can't, either because I don't have control, or fear.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

My lucids used to feel very realistic to the point were I can't help but be amazed it is just a dream. In those ones I am very clear minded too and it feels very stable. For the longest time now my dreams have been very unstable and there is almost a disconnect from my senses even though they can still be quite vivid. It is mostly in my non lucids but it is hard to focus on any one detail and my mind feels foggy. I think it is just from stress in waking life and it is something I have to work on to get them back to the way they used to be.

I use a scale of 1-15 to describe my lucid reality. 10 is if it is exactly like waking life, anything above goes into more realistic than reality. Those are strange.

I sometimes feel disconnected, but most times I feel shocked that it is actually a dream, especially when it is half way through a very vivid dream that I realize I am dreaming. This is why I constantly remind myself that this is actually a dream.

Dreams to me feel...hard to explain o_O
Generally things feel more real than real life..
I never RC, when I question I am dreaming, I just know.
I have become quite interested on the layers of lucidity, and I use them to measure how lucid a dream is. For more information on these layers, click here.

some dreams I kind of just remember as a past memory. But my WILDs which I have most of the time are a whole nother story. Without reality checks, its basically impossible to even tell that I'm not awake. Everything feels, looks, sounds and smells exactly like real life. It blows my mind to even think that its just my mind creating it all. God damn its a beautiful thing

I suppose it is a gift of being able to just know if I am dreaming whenever I question it, but I agree with your first definition. It seems almost like a past memory. In some dreams that weren't even lucid, it can get so vivid that it is more than reality. The feel of the dream is like looking in the past, and seeing this wonderland, but the senses are so amplified
