      Question About 2nd LD?

Alright, so a couple of nights ago, I had my second REAL LD, and now I want to ask about it. I woke up in a library that I had never been in before. I asked myself if this was a dream since I didn't recognize that place. I didn't have writing on my hands in the real world, but when I looked in my dream, there was a smiley face. Each time I turned it around, there was a smiley face, but it was slightly different. I thought to myself, this is a dream! I tried to fly, but I did a pathetic little glide around the place. Then I walked outside to see the brightest sun I'd ever seen, and I turned around to see that the library was my elementary school, however, that wasn't what the library looked like. Plus, instead of the American flag, there was a dead tree. I climbed the dead tree (hey, I was happy.) Then we started walking down the streets, me and my dad. When I looked up, it was a completely different place. Then, I woke up, in a false way. I knew it was a false awakening because I woke up in the library again. Then I went out into a grocery store, and then it was the end.
      A couple of questions.
1): I am really excited when I realize I'm dreaming, but I don't have the world spinning and I don't start going out of my dream. Is that normal?
2): I was nervous that I would see a ghost boy from insidious, yet I didn't see him anywhere. You said when you expected something, that it usually happened. Why didn't he show up?
3): Was that a normal false awakening? I've never heard of waking up where my dream started. Thanks for any answers, Dakota.

I'm new to the forums but that doesn't mean I cannot answer your questions
      1. From what I heard most people wake up if they get Too excited once they realise they are dreaming, you were either lucky, didn't get too excited or you stabilised your dream without realising it such as focusing on your surroundings like when you said you looked at your hands, your dream would of got more stable and vivid because you were concentrating on the picture on your hand.
      2. It's true when you think about something and expected something there is a high chance it would happen however it's a chance and did you think about the ghost in your dream?
      3. In my opinion your false awakening may not be common for most false awakens as I've heard many of them false awaken in their dream bed and thinking its the waking world, you were lucky it wasn't your bed you false awakened in or you might of thought it was real life

      1. Sorry, but what do you mean by "don't have the world spinning"? And by "going out of dream" you mean wake up? Well, your dream did end, so I don't see anything unusual here. And getting excited usually wakes you up, but not always. But please explain, and I'll try to answer again.

      2. The operative word is usually. Many time things happen that you didn't think off or didn't expect. Otherwise it would be pretty boring, if only things that you wish for would happen.

      3. False awakening is when you dream that you wake up and then you go around your business without realizing you are dreaming. But if you realize that you are in a dream, then it's just another lucid dream, that started in your bed or in your room. And if it doesn't start in your room, then it's just another dream in which you did or didn't realize you are dreaming.

      Congrats on your lucid!

Congrats on the lucid dreams! Sounds like an awesome dream

I'll give you my two cents and you can see what we can do with that...

Question 1...Nothing is normal...If at first, you don't succeed, try, try again. Looks like you succeeded the first time, so there was no try. In other words, if you do what you should without effort, be grateful, and then build on that strength. Things are not done until they are done.

Question 2...There is so much of the dream world that we do not have control over. What is meant by expectation is to use our power of future projection to change our present environment. This is different than what many people think is expectations. What most people typically think is expectations are what you think will happen. This is more like what you want to happen. We have expectation for that present on Christmas morning even though we may not have any clue whats inside. Its that feeling of that experience being real in your mind despite its non-existence in apparent reality.

Question 3...There is no normal...False awakenings are dreams, which in general can be quite unpredictable.

      Embrace whatever may come
