i need help (cant lucid dream)

ive been commited to lucid dreaming for a while. maybe a month and a half. everyday i do at least 20 reality checks and every time i go to sleep, i repeat in my head "tonight when i am dreaming, i will realize i am dreaming." the background of my phone as a picture of the words "am i in a dream?" so that i can do a reality check every time i pull out my phone. i have a dream journal and have decent dream recall. ive tried the WILD technique many times but always end up falling asleep. one recurring theme in my dreams is running. many of my dreams take place with me running from something or am in a rush. also i have occasional zombie apocolypse dreams. i recently started taking vitamin b-6 tablets, choline, and calea zacatechichi. ive had sleep paralysis once and felt like i was about to go lucid but then realized i wasnt paralyzed anymore and shot up in my bed. can someone tell me if im doing anything wrong or can you guys please give me tips to increase my success rate, which has been 0 percent as of this point.

The important thing is that you don't give up, just keep trying. It took me sometime to get my first lucid, but after your first if you keep as commited then way more lucid will follow. There are so many techniques out there you just have to tinker around which one works for you and which one doesn't, wbtb is really effective and easy, doing that on a regular basis if you can would not hurt. As for the reality checks, don't stop because once they become a habit you're chances increase dramaticlly. Also make sure you're questioning yourself when reality checking (time, clothes, peoples behaviour...)
      Science for the win.

okay, first of all stop saying or believing that you "can't". second, since in a lot of your dreams you're running, do reality checks when you're running in waking life. also, a month and a half isn't that long. before i had my first one i had been trying to have lucids for a few months, close to a year maybe.

i've read you should take the calea zacatechichi in between during a WBTB and then go to sleep. plasma levels are highest an hour after you take it or something like that.

when you're falling asleep try and focus on your third eye and the hypnagogic imagery. sometimes i start to have dream like imagery but i notice i'm getting caught up in it and forgetting to remind myself that i'll become lucid at which point i'll tell myself that i'll realize i'm dreaming.

I agree with both of them ^^

Try to do WBTB if you can, as that can increase your chances. Keep on working on your awareness – which you do through reality checks and overall attention to your surroundings. What other techniques have you tried? It can take a while to find the best technique that suits you. The important thing is that you read and learn as much as you can. Don't be afraid to change up a technique you've read about if some part of it doesn't work well with you. Create your own personal technique. good luck.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

IT TAKES TIME. It took me a couple weeks, like about 6 to have a lucid dream... You can achieve anything :3 But just DON'T GIVE UP.

If I may suggest, compare your procedure with some tutorials. See what you doing differently. Different doesn't mean wrong, but there is so many possible ways to do it, keep trying them untill you find what works for you.

It's good to learn and understand the basics, before you start looking for your own method. For example:
      - WILD only after some hours of sleep
      - RCs are not enough, you need to put emotions into them
      - daytime awareness is important
      and many more...

      WILD (sageous)
      DILD
      DEILD (dutchraptor)
