A dream in a different language- any thoughts?

      Hi all,
Lovely to have found a site that can offer up thoughts and suggestions on a very lucid dream I had back in May. I find myself with spare time and thought go back to the dream which I cannot make head nor tail of.

I am overweight and self-conscious. I want to lose weight but find it extremely difficult. I was in this circle of women, all much older that myself. It seemed like I was there for a telling off, or some strong advice. They kept talking at me, over each other, in a different language. It was confusing at first, then I got quite worked up. So did these ladies, who started raising their voices in frustration, trying to get me to understand. I remember there was this one old lady, looked like an Indian lady about 80. She had deep creases/wrinkles in her face and startling eyes. She started to come towards me at a rate of knots and before I knew it she was in my face, shouting GULA! GULA! GULA! I tried so hard to make her understnad I didnt speak the lingo but that it where my dream stopped. I felt threatened by this little old lady, it was like she was warning me....like WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!! but much more serious.

      Any thoughts? Comments most welcome.

ps: I dreamt I was dreaming this... it was so lucid. I knew I was dreaming, that these people were not real. Yet I was hearing a new language.... I always have conversations in my dreams but never are they lucid or do I wake to remember word for word.

I put "Gula" in Google translate and it auto-detected indonesian language with translation "sugar". But I suspect that pretty much any word will make sense in one of the many languages of this planet.

If your mind went through all the trouble making up a dream for you, it could have had included translation, or 'let' you understand the language, haha.

I do speak different languages in my dreams, but mostly only those, that I actually speak in waking life. Sometime things are in gibberish, or at least I can't identify what is being said.

As to the meaning of it - maybe it was your mind telling you to stop listening to those who make you feel bad about yourself, but I dunno. Next time ask them "what are you talking about?"
      Happy dreams

EDIT: so funny, I just realized, that "guľa" means a "sphere, orb, globe" in MY first language.

Maybe you are afraid that someone is trying to tell you something, but you aren't getting the message. so your subconscious turned that into a dream with people shouting at you in another language. Or did it seem like it had something to do with your weight? Dream interpretation is hard, because everyone is different.... and everyone's mind works a little different.

When you are going to sleep again, try to replay the scenario in your head, and maybe you can re-enter the dream. that is what I normally do when a dream has bothered me enough, or I want to dive deeper into it.

I had what is referred to a transcendent lucid dream once. I found myself standing in a field with a vivid image of a Peruvian llama herder staring at me. He was wearing colorful garments and reminded me of things I have seen in National Geographic.Next to him was a smallish llama... possibly a young one. It felt transcendent as I was aware that I was no longer in my time but in a time long ago. Now, I have never been Peru or did I read or see anything Peruvian in my waking hours prior to sleep. But there I was, staring at him whilst he stared right back at me. No words were spoken. I have often wondered why my spirit wanted to be in that field, completely lucid, with that herder. Maybe your dream was spiritually transcendent. Did you feel you were in another time?

GULA means yellow (plural) in Swedish. xD The yellow little chickens = De gula små kycklingarna ^-^

Haha but to me it sounds like a symbolic dream of not understanding others. It can feel like that at times, but the important thing is that you still try.

Just a little interpretation of mine, the best interpretation can only be done by you.

I don't know if this even matters but "gula" in portuguese means gluttony. Just adding my two cents
      MasterMind and Buhl like this.

I love dream Interpretation, I am a Sydney based medium and I find that there are common themes in the dreams that we all have. At some time or another past lives make their way into our dreams,a kind of bleed through. I believe in part that your guides were a part of this event, telling you in no uncertain circumstances to wake up and realize what it is that you have not been 'getting', but since you had this dream back in May, I'm not sure it still holds relevance for you now, either way, The weight depicts an emotional lethargy, something you are finding hard to shake off, this is what they are telling you in the dream, to shake off the emotional weight that you have been carrying around. It's November now, and you may have already began work in this particular area. It's a good dream, they are helping you to understand that there are things that you need to focus on and work out, now rather than later tammymoir.com

Don't want to sound like a dick here, but mediums are fake.
