      Partial Lucidity Issues

This has happened at least once. I have gone into a dream almost knowing that I was dreaming. I did a Reality Check to confirm this (sticking my finger through my palm) and was certain that I was dreaming. I spun around and teleported a couple of times, but barely a few minutes into the dream, I found that it had distinctly low quality. I frequently reminded myself that I was dreaming, but that didn't help with the quality. I was left with a somewhat bittersweet feeling when I awoke; the joy of a lucid dream was combated with the low clarity and quality. I also discovered that (using a sleep pattern recorder) the dream had lasted over 40 minutes, despite being one of the first dreams of the night.

I also unearthed another issue-despite having flown a couple of times in non-lucid dreams, I could not fly in my lucid dreams. I attempted to soar the skies by jumping higher and higher, and as I neared the tops of the buildings, I touched the ground to make what may have been the final jump before flying, and instead ended up face-down on the ground. This is very frustrating for me >

The question is: do you expect to be able to fly? Do you believe that you'll be able to do it?

      Hey there,
Did you shout out "clarity now" and rub your hands together because that is a biggie that will stabilise your dream. Do his before you do anything. Examine your surroundings and go slowly, just touch things around you. Also with flying you must believe you can do it, not just that you want to do it. Just jump up and let yourself hover for a while to start with, take things slowly as it sounds like your rushing a little. Eventually just try skimming the pavement and stay low then try higher and eventually point your arms up like superman and 100% believe that you can fly up into the sky with ease, believe you are a master at flying and you shall be. Remember you control your lucid, don't be tricked into thinking it controls you
