      Partial lucidity

Almost always in dreams I realize I am dreaming. I do communicate that to DC's, but like a few other posts I have read, am not able to control them or the environment. Is this a common occurrence with people? and what exactly does it mean, if anything.

I use this partial lucidity to observe my surroundings. I say a lot in these dreams " Oh it's just a dream ", "( To someone) This is just a dream ", " Oh! I have got to remember this when I wake up! " or, " HEY! WAKE UP!! ". It almost seems as if my brain is in standby mode, overseeing the dream.

I have a lot of reoccurring dreams too. I am very quick to notice them, and what took place, and more often than not, I go a different route.

I believe dreams to have a wealth of information pertaining to your life, and I sometimes struggle to see what they are. I don't know how this partial lucidity in my dreams is supposed to play out, but I know I will know it when I need to.

If anyone knows more clearly the role this partial lucidity plays in dreams, kindly share it with me. I am very open minded and I consider all possibilities. So share as you wish, anything you deem relevant.

      Sweet dreams to all

Being lucid in a dream is different from having from having control. A lucid dream is just a dream where you know you're dreaming. You can choose to see how the dream goes and just observe. But generally control does come with lucidity, as you know nothing physical is happening. With practice you can have better dream control. Also, it's pretty common for beginners, as I'm still working on my control. Some dreams can just randomly have good control though.

Thank you! Hope you have nice dreams also! =D

Control in lucids does take a while. I've just recently had my fourth and that was the one where I had the most control.

Keep at it. I'm finding it all comes with time.
