      becoming lucid

In consistently keeping a dream journal , recognising dream signs , doing regular reality checks , working on awareness , getting enough sleep and doing as much research as possible for the last (approx)3or4 months i have yet to achieve lucidity for any prolonged period of time. not for want of trying!!!!
I use deild with wbtb method but on the cusp of entering the dream consciously i seem to have false awakening or just go non-lucid !!!
With the mild method i continually practice, while i have had dreams discussing lucid dreaming!!also a few with outstanding abnormalities that in hindsight make me wonder why i didnt do a rc it has not yet occurred to me to do a rc , rather frustrating!!!!
i would like to know if im on the right track from someone with a little more experience than me , i feel its just around the corner , my life is already enritched by the progress i have made, but as of recent i began to wonder if i'm doing anything wrong or am i just someone that cannot lucid dream!!!!!!!
However i have found dreamviews a wealth of information and am very gratefull for the motivating and encouraging words i have recieved untill now.
      from a frustrated oneironaut

... i have yet to achieve lucidity for any prolonged period of time.
Does it mean, that you have achieved lucidity, but your LD was short?

... i seem to have false awakening or just go non-lucid
RC each time you get out of bed. Sooner or later you will catch those FAs.

... it has not yet occurred to me to do a rc
RC comes after you become aware. I know you say you work on awareness. Are you putting emotions into it? Here is what I mean about emotions Collection of...DILD.

... or am i just someone that cannot lucid dream
I would be surpised, if you couldn't. In fact, I'm sure, that you can. For some it may take a little longer for their minds to get used to these new thoughts and procedures. Re-read some tutorials, or join DV academy for some personalized guidance.

No worries, that will get better with more lucids.

You could also look into Dream control forum and check out some stabilization tutorials. Happy dreams

constantly visualize either becoming lucid or what you will do once you are lucid.

Make sure when you RC you are really checking reality. You never know if you are really asleep or dreaming.

Extra that I do: Every time I RC I imagine it failing and me becoming lucid, what I would do in those surroundings (stabilize, fly, TOTM, etc..). This may not help me become lucid, but I believe it helps me have a purpose when I do become lucid.

You're almost there, so so close! The fact that you've already had a lucid (even though it was a short one) shows your well on the way to being a lucid dreamer. Don't get disheartened by how long it's taking, it took me 5 months before I properly got the hang of things Just keep it up, maybe tweak your technique to better suit you and it should help you
