I haven't had a lucid dream in like a week. I just started taking sleep medication... is that the reason why I can't LD? |

Don't worry, that's normal. Many people don't have a lucid dream for over a month. It won't necessarily take that long, but it won't necessarily be quick either. Lucid dreaming requires patience and confidence. It it generally doesn't work instantly. |

Unless you are expert at lucid dreaming, lucidity can be often harder or easier to obtain depending on many various factors, known or unknown. Dunno what's your case, my personal case, if that helps, was that i was unable to LD and had hard time to LD due to three hour change in my sleeping schedule that i had to do for certain reason, it lasted for pretty long time(two months), but once i got the chance to change it back i got back to having semi-regular lucid dreams. |

Agreed with the others. But of course the medication could be a factor too. The thing is, if you need that medication, you'll have to find a way around it so you can still get lucids. Just stay in the right mindset and be dedicated to whatever technique you're using, and you'll be okay. |

Thanks for all the replies, I guess I just have to be more patient when it comes to getting lucid dreams. The good news though is that I had a very quick lucid dream last night! So, it's not completely gone. I just have to get back into it more and try a little harder. |

Most of sleep medication helps you getting better sleep quality, due chemicals like melatonin being present. So don't stress out and keep with the pratice and good mindset like others said above |
