      My lucid dreaming problem

When I was a kid I was having nightmares and I thought to myself: "What if I can realise I am dreaming and than I can wake up from the nightmare", Turns out I could, I was thinking about that for so much that I though about that in a dream once and I just like closed my eyes in the dream really hard and opened them fast, and I was awake, I did that for quite some time, however I found out about lucid dreaming and I wanted to try it. I am to lazy to induce it so I just go to sleep and almost every night I realise I'm dreaming in the middle of the dream or even at the beggining...The problem is, I can't fly for shit...This was my dream last night and the reason why I'm asking you for help

I was at some sort of woods and there was a fort, I watched the hobbit the day before so in the woods there was a huuuge dog, but it looked more like a pug than like the wolfes from the hobbit...But he was huge, his head was like 50kg in mass.....Anyway...The dog didn't catch up to me yet and I wanted to run away (I have no idea why did I want to run away when I knew I was dreaming), I tried flying so I can get on top of a little stone fort which is high enough so the dog cant get up there...I jumped and jumped but I just jump like a normal person and want keep flying. The dog came and I couldn't try to fly anymore because it would catch me so I just climbed up...He jumped and jumped and even came close once but I punched him in the face...He went on and sat down near the fort, I took the chance to jump of the fort and run down big stairs that lead away from the forest and I was fast as fuck, the dog couldn't catch me, thats when the danger passed and I was transfered to another dream which i don't remember at whole...

If I totally dissregard the fact that the dog is chasing me because I know I'm dreaming, the whole dream loses its point in my head and I wake up...At that point of lucidity in which I just say "stop everything", the dream stops feeling as a dream and feels more of active imagining with my eyes close since I control everything, flying is not fun because I can do that anytime by imagining I'm flying.

In one dream I was chased by some secret service and I stopped and realised I'm dreaming, the servise wasnt there anymore nothing was happening, the whole set slowly wanished into white space and I woke up
while in the other dream I realised I'm dreaming after something terrible and I wanted to wake up, there was a girl in front of me who was involved in that terrible thing and I was like "Bitch this is a dream and I will wake up now" and I did the thing I did when I was a kid, closed my eyes and tried to wake up by opening them fast, and there she was, looking at me like an idiot who wants to wake up from something which is not a dream...than my phone rang and I wake up....

Any help on explaining what is happening to me? How do I get to flying and having fun? And how to keep myself from waking up?

      Thank you in advance

Yeah. That state of being able to do anything but not really feeling your dream like living it. Truth is that it takes practice. I would check out all the control tutorials on here. There is a sub forum for it, check it out. There is a thread made for specifically flying, and other ones made just for anyone that wants to control anything. Check it out!

once you fly for your first time, you might have difficulty getting down. i know i did. that will over-exite you. to prevent awakening at the time, do not think of your room, or the possibility of waking up in general. just focus on what your doing.

      Check this out:

As for the waking up part, as what the previous poster said, try not to think about it at all. Do some stabilization techniques --> http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...-tutorial.html

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
