      Afraid to lucid dream

      I have been trying to lucid dream and getting along fine, in the beginning layers of lucidity. The only reason i am not progressing this ability is that i am afraid of nightmares/false awakenings/OBEs. I always think i'll realize im dreaming and then think about like demons or ghosts or something that scares me and since whatever you think is going to happen in a lucid dream happens. I'm so afraid of sleep paralysis (very much so) and OBE's since i am a paranoid person and always think about scary things.

      I'm sure you'll get a bunch of answers here. In the meantime, check out these threads. As you can see, many people struggle with the same thing. But let me tell you, that the reward is worth it.

      Fear starting out
      I am scared of lucid dream
      Idea to not be scared
      My friends told me there is no point in lucid dreaming
