      What happened to me?

Hello. Well I have been experiencing sleep paralysis everyday recently but I today I am starting to question if I was just dreaming about having success in it.

So every morning I have extremely vivid dreams, and it's so vivid and the colours are so vibrant it kicks ass. In fact for some reason I have the power to change brightness and contrast in my dreams... I have no clue why that happens but maybe because I'm a techy guy?:S

Anyways this morning I went to sleep to wake up in my bed in a dream. In fact I woke up with a girl sleeping with me and she was in her underwear. The dream was so vivid I can remember her characteristics. But then I just walked around my house and then I thought that it is the right time to do a WILd so I wen back in my bed (remember this is my dream) and I felt sleep paralysis. It felt like my dream sleep was transferred into my real life sleep. But I do not know if I felt sleep paralysis in my dream (which it would be fake then?) or in real life. Either way I felt a falling and lifting sensation and I had never felt this before. I also felt pressure on my body ( I was sleeping with my back facing th ceiling). I tried opening my eyes but it required lots of pressure and I could see my bedroom but I did not knowI this was my dream bedroom or real bedroom. So yeah the standard paralysis stuff.

I then woke up in the same dream as I was before but with different people with me. And I repeated this 5 times feeling the same sensations because I kept thinking that I wasn't dreaming. Then my mum came in the ooh and shouted at me to get up.

Now my actual question, after that essay, is was I actually experiencing a WILD or was this all made up in my head because I was expecting it to happen?

Sounds to me like you were dreaming. I mean...if you woke up with a girl beside you that wasn't there when you went to sleep...you are either the luckiest man in the world or dreaming. I'm no expert but it seems to me you're really focused on experiencing SP while you wild, which would definitely slip into your dream about wilding. Again I'm no expert....but it sounds like false awakenings to me. At any point in the dream did you suspect you were dreaming? It sounds like you never really knew you were dreaming if you kept trying to wild.

I think it was in your head.

yeah i did question myself many times but i think i would just forget about it straight after. like when things become much brighter i would start to think maybe i am dreaming but then the thought just disappears.

Hello there. Interesting, I've also had dreams where I went to bed and had sleep paralysis.

As for your question: no, it was not a WILD. First of all, you didn't actually attempt a WILD and second, you never realized you were dreaming when you had those false awakenings, therefore you didn't get lucid, thus not a WILD. Lastly, if you did get lucid, it would be a DILD since you didn't enter the dream consciously from an actual waking state.

Hope this clears it up. Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

You most likely did experience sleep paralysis, but it's also possible that you only dreamed of it. I have experienced real sleep paralysis and dreamed of sleep paralysis before myself. It's very hard to tell the difference between them though.

It was not WILD because you were not lucid, i similarly had a number of non-lucid dreams before where i attempted to WILD, though in my case it resulted in scene change. As for whether sleep paralysis was real or you were dreaming of it, it sounds like you were most likely dreaming about it.
