Lets say you have sleep paralysis 3 times and all you experience are vibrations, if you have it again will you hallucinate?

I mean if you always have just the vibrations, will it change from vibrations to vibrations with hallucinations?

Sleep paralysis is not common at all for the majority of people.

Regarding lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis is not a necessary event to experience before/after a lucid dream. That has been a simple misconception that has been around for far too long. Before or after you fall asleep, or when you experience a WILD, you might have some hallucinations/sensations/changes in perceptions which are part of the phenomenon that occur while the brain is beginning to get in and out of REM. These are all normal, and no where related to sleep paralysis.

In short, don't count sleep paralysis in your lucid dreams plans unless you've experienced several times before. About the other events (like hallucinations) before or after a lucid dream, no one can tell you what they are going to be, they can vary a lot depending on the situation/person.

personally, its happended to me at all sorts of different times, after lucid dreams. after false awakenings and before them
sometimes ill be fast asleep and wake up to the paralysis setting in, like a drug slowly and painfully taking me over, if i can catch it i can prevent it:S
once i was trying to astral project, but i bored in about 10mins then rolled over onto my side, which i did fine but once i was on my side, i was completly paralysied,

but it sure will happen regardless? i never had paralysis untill i tried to astral project/lucid dream doing the techniques and what not, i wouldnt sugar coat things bro, i know when i was young, and learning lucid dreaming... there was little information on sleep paralysis attached to lucid dreaming, there shouldve been tho i wouldve been better prepared man...

There's specific causes for sleep paralysis, which translates in a disturbance in the normal sleep cycle. Sure there's factors that have been suggested to increase the likelihood of this event (like sleeping in a supine position), but other than a small amount of people who frequently experience it, it's an experience which tends to be extremely rare to repeat itself in the general population.
Also, it's important to be aware of possible misidentifications regarding the phenomenon. Many people report sleep paralysis regarding every single thing that they feel. Just because your body is numb doesn't mean it's sleep paralysis, and just because you're hallucinating it does not mean it's sleep paralysis. This is especially relevant when we consider many people who claim that they have started experiencing sleep paralysis only when they started lucid dreaming.

The problem is that we, as a lucid dream community, are flooded with anecdotal evidence of it.

Hi sorry to jump in ive been having sleep paralysis for around 10 years and only wish i didnt hallucinate lol, i cannot overcome the fear after all this time thats why i just joined the site, hopefully il get some answers on here, im curious as to know what people actually see, and have many on here seen the hatman?, anyway sorry for hijacking your post.

happening to me only during OBE and only when i woke up.

I get a lot of SP naturally... I should try to use it to reenter dreams lucid, but I often forget to try.

Sleep paralysis is the phenomenon that happens when you awaken during the middle of your REM cycle. Hallucinations are also known to happen during sleep paralysis, though it's not as common for most. This is the main reason for people thinking that they are being visited by aliens or possessed by spirits when they awaken and cannot move, while at the same time think what they are seeing is real.
