      Dreaming Hours

Hi. I'm really interested in lucid dreaming. The problem is (like many others) I have a tight sleeping schedule on the weekdays. My question is, is roughly 7 hours sleep enough to be able to have lucid dreams, or do I have to wait until weekends to attempt them?

You can get lucid dreams with any amount of sleep, although the techniques you use to maximize the amount of them you get varies.

For me, if I'm low on sleep, I'll use WILD in the morning.
If I have a lot of sleep, I'll focus on DILD and MILD.
With the perfect amount of sleep I can wake up in the middle of and (optimally)abuse WBTB and DEILD, get MILDs and DILDs, and WILD after I can't WBTB.

So you see, it all depends.

Thanks for the speedy reply, however to WILD, you have to wake up in the night, don't you? On little sleep, how could this be the best method?

      Yo.
7 hours is pretty good, though from what i know many say that 8+ would be the best, but it is really possible to have lucid dreams even on less hours of sleep, but more hours of sleep means more dreams and more chances to get lucid, and it's good for recall as well.
And WILD is indeed best used after an amount of sleep, in an WBTB or a nap, and sometimes a good way of doing an WBTB is to subtract a bit of time from normal sleep time to be able to actually fall asleep, though it's not really necessary if you can fall asleep normally for WBTB.

It's the same with me. I have 6-7 hours of sleep on weekdays, and around 10 on weekends. I have around 1 LD per week, on weekends. So, for me, having more sleep hours results in a LD. But sometimes i have it on weekdays too, but rarely.
