ive been reading DV, and for a while ive been scared of having FA's (not lucid dreaming, i love them). many people have reported freaky things like dead people, random guys, shadow people etc.. |

False awakenings are great, not bad. They make lucid dreaming a lot easier. Sure, they can be nightmarish at times, but the fact that they make lucid dreaming easier makes it worth it. |

They are really no different than dreams. You just dream that you have woken up. You should not fear them any more than you fear having a dream. |

You've sort of set yourself up for nightmares by fearing false awakenings. If you expect those things to be there when you have a false awakening, they will most likely be there. The beauty about false awakenings is that they can take you straight into a lucid dream once you realise you are in one. They are definitely more positive than negative experiences |

Firstly I agree with everything that's been said here... |
