study of CAT compared to WBTB?

Has anyone with a steady LD rate (say at least 2/week) seriously tried CAT? I'm wondering about the effectiveness of CAT vs. WBTB. WBTB seems more flexible as you can do it whenever, and CAT seems to require sticking to a very rigorous sleep schedule which is not always possible unless you're a hermit . But the idea of CAT, that your body "naturally" starts to wake up at the earlier wake up time on the "sleep long" days seems interesting.

I think cat is much more effective than what it seems. Routines really are powerful in lucid dreaming, and you notice that the most effective lucid dreamers who arent naturals are usually people who regularly do WBTB properly. My hypothesis is that most strong lucid dreamers will usually WBTB every now and then but always around the same time, which would have the same effect of CAT on days they don't WBTB. It takes a godly amount of devotion but I have considered really getting into CAT.

I think the best plan would be to form a hybrid plan, a method which can be effectively called both CAT and WBTB.
