      God compared to a lucid dreamer

      Hello,

      If some one has a lucid dream he is/has;

      All Powerful (With the dream control necessary), Also called Omnipotent

      infinite benevolence (With the dream control necessary), Also called Omni-benevolence

      Capability to know everything (With the dream control necessary), Also called Omniscience

      Know i now about the paradoxes involved but there are a lot of reports of people dreaming more than one dream at the same time think about it. also if you follow the way of the paradoxes we can still be like god because he NEEDS to have them to because he cant do more then we can.

      so basicly we can be like god himself if we are lucid

      pleas correct me if i am wrong and give your own thoughts about it.

      one last thing keep your comments about religion that do not got anything to do with this topic for yourself. you are much more mature than starting discussions at the wrong threads, i am sure you are.

      Edit: I mean we as lucid humans not after we wake like ElsiaStar said lucid gods, dont get me wrong and think i mean the non-lucid human.

      God can do anything, including many things that we can't even begin to imagine. So while it may seem like we can do everything in our lucid dreams, I don't think we can really consider ourselves to be "lucid gods" or whatever. But that's just my opinion.
      I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

      So if im right you mean that godīs imagination is so much bigger than ours that he for example can imagine colors that we really could not think about, correct me if i interpreted it wrong

      not all dreams are created equal some are harder to control than others. but like you said "with the dream control necessary". though humans do have limits and god doesn't so to an extent i guess you can be like him somewhat

      I kicked god's ass in a lucid dream once.

      This led to the conclusion:

      XeL > God.

      XeL i am afraid i have to disagree if the "God's" ass you kicked is the one that represents Jahweh, The reason is because most likely you kicked some sort of DC representing Jahweh. I personally do not believe in God like most believe systems interpreted him.

      1. Are we really all powerful in the dream? When you walk into a new room did you consciously create every aspect of that room? Did you think up what every dream character looks like? If the answer is no then we are not Omnipotent.

      2. With the dream control necessary I guess it could be possible but we can definitely turn to doing bad/evil things at the drop of a hat.

      3. I dont think we could have Omniscience. Objects and people would have to act according to our expectation which many times they do not.

      I've met DC's that are much more than just mindless zombies. They have done the things that I can do, have even thought I was in their dream, and have not acted according to expectation. Maybe the Hindu's are on to something

      Well i think we are not (maybe some of us). But the thing is it is possible from wat i have readed. so if the possibility exists and we assume there is some kind of prodigy that possesses all the 3 traits in a lucid dream and he can do everything consciously and he is in a dream where he has total control isnt he like god himself?
