      Dreams Are Too Realistic

      Hello everyone,
Im a beginner I guess in lucid dreaming and have been doing this for about 3 months and have gotten lucid 12 times. It's usually once a week but recently it has gone up to almost 3 times per week.

The problem is whenever I get lucid I'm usually in a extremely realistic situation. I've only ever gotten lucid once in a dream that seems fictional which was a dragon related dream where humans could change into dragons...
Anyways when I get lucid in realistic environments like my school or at home I find the things I'm able to do are a lot more limited. I remember the dragon dream I could teleport shift the dream setting and do so many more abstract things. Though these realistic ones I get lucid and then can maybe walk through a wall change the color of small objects and do working reality checks. Of course the small things are all fun but Whenever I try something more abstract I usually fail. Wonder what tips there are to better control your dreams, i dunno if it's a lack of belief that I can do it while I'm attempting to do so or that some of your dreams are just in less control than others.

I usually find my dreams are much like the Matrix "There is no spoon". The more I believe the more I can do. If I fail to believe something will happen it generally won't. Maybe other people have some cool techniques but I'd suggest improving your belief. I like to convince myself I'm a god in my dreams with ultimate power and completely unbeatable. Creating that sense of myself lets me do more abstract things because I know there is simply no possible way for them to fail, and so they happen.

Start with practice of easy things. First basic summoning. Think of an object, and then find one in the dream. Do this until it is not hard. It ends up going like this. "I want to find a book", be convinced that a book is laying on the floor in the next room. Create a thought to make it seem likely. "I left my D&D books on the floor in the front room" then walk into that room expecting to see the D&D books.

It does not sound exciting, but you are developing in steps here. A clear plan of things you want to practice helps you advance. Next you should practice believing you can do Super hero type stunts. Start simple. Try jumping. just jump normal, then onto a car, up into a tree. Believe this is possible because you are a great athlete. You work up to things that are hard for your brain to accept.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Thanks for the advice, I am sure to try the small things and then build up to the big ones with belief in myself the next times I'm lucid which will probably be soon cause of the weekend.
