Okay. Whenever I wake up, pretty much every morning, it's like I can see my dream, but still see the blackness of my eyelids and feel I'm in bed. If this is HI then I could've DEILD sooo many times. I've only DEILD once, and it was like that. I felt I was in bed but saw the dream still and just imagined I was there, and poof. I was. Could I DEILD with the imagery, and is it DEILD? |
|
No. I had memory of only one DEILD from when I was on here but I guess I've had three. |

I'm not 100% sure, but I think what you're talking about is HI, and yes, you can DEILD from this, and it is a DEILD. Stay still as much as you can of course when this happens, and just watch the HI passively without much thought. You may feel tingly or strange sensations in your body as well. Eventually (~30 seconds) the dream will become more and more vivid and you'll forget about your real body and enter it with ease. |

It definitely sounds like HI to me. Even without the HI though, managing to wake up without immediately opening your eyes is the perfect time to try for a DEILD. As long as you remain motionless upon waking, it shouldn't matter if you see HI or not. |

Thanks for the responses guys! They were great. |

That definitely takes some practice. One way is to try some mantras just before going to sleep. Tell yourself something along the lines of "When I wake up, I will remember not to move." Having these thoughts in your head just as you are drifting off to sleep will dramatically increase the likelihood that you will remember to do so. |
