From your description it is hard to tell if you were lucid. From my experience, when I become lucid there is no question in my mind because I have this kind of reaction (in my dream): HEY I'M DREAMING!!! Along with a strong feeling of excitement. |

Hey guys! New here, and I've been practicing at trying to get lucid for a few weeks now with little to no success. But last night all's I did before bed was tell myself "I will be aware when I'm dreaming," and when I started to drift off I could almost feel myself entering a dream, but every time I did it, a tingly feeling came over me and I became more aware. And about a week ago, I had a casual dream until the very end, my dad and I were arguing about a couch, and then I felt that strange tingly feeling again, like when your arm is asleep, but all over my body, I also felt slightly aware but just barely, and I finally woke up. Had I gotten lucid? |

Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~William Dement
Thanks, I'll try to be more in depth next time! I guess I hadn't been lucid at all, but I'm almost certain that my dream self had questioned if I was dreaming or not, and that's when I got that tingly feeling and woke up. Thanks again! |

Even if you didn't get lucid this time, you had some more awareness than normally. I bet that's because of your practice. |
