I feel like DC's answer in a way that we expect them to. I feel like if you expected that pass to grant you access, and not had doubt like you probably did, it would have worked the first time. I read a lot of lucid's that tried to force sex on DCs and got shut down. DCs would turn into ugly creatures or what not. Probably because they expected to be shut down and this is their subconscious way of rejecting them.
